Old Lady Gang, Southern Eatery
Girl Boss, Kandi Burruss of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" never stops hustling. Her latest venture was restaurant (OLG) Old Lady Gang. Kandi and her husband Todd decided they wanted to open a restaurant with true down home southern feel. Kandi decided to enlist the help of the three women who influenced her the most; her mother, Joyce Jones, and aunts, Bertha Jones & Nora Wilcox. This lively trio was affectionately given the name Old Lady Gang by Burrus because they mean business in the kitchen and when it comes to family. These sisters all share the title of Master Chef at the new restaurant.
I had a peach mimosa which was delicious. I also enjoyed Aunt Nora’s fried catfish strips, french fries and green beans. My friend had the Aunt Bertha’s fried chicken. The food was so delicious everything was seasoned to perfection. My favorite; however, was the green beans. I have never had such green beans in my life, and I am not exaggerating. The service was good and the manager was extremely accommodating. I even got a chance to meet Aunt Nora as she was making her rounds greeting guests. She was so sweet and made me feel right at home. Below, I have listed some suggestions for planning your trip to OLG, because it is a must try new spot on the restaurant scene.
