Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. is a city that is near and dear to my heart, because I lived there during the four years I attended Howard University. The last time I was in D.C. was for the legendary Howard University Homecoming.

I was super excited to go back and see all of my friends and everything, but I knew in my mind that I needed to make time to go see an innovative new exhibit that had opened called "The Future of Sports." The pop up art installation celebrates the merging of art and sports. The installation is comprised of two floors featuring several interactive rooms with influences of soccer, basketball, track tennis, boxing, volleyball, and cycling. The rooms each add their own twist of flavor to the exhibit with colorful walls and neon lights, making it the perfect place to have an impromptu photoshoot during your visit. Many creatives have made it a priority to checkout the installation and take their gram worthy photos, hashtagging  #futureofsports and #MITD.

Made in The District, MITD is a creative agency and media outlet, based in Washington, D.C. MITD's founder Nicole Pinendo was the creative director behind The Future of Sports. The installation opened up on October 6th, 2017 and will remain open until November 30th, 2017. In order to visit the installation you must select your date and time online before you can purchase your ticket. The tickets are $15 per person. The exhibit is located in the H Street Corridor at 700 H St NE, Washington, DC 20002.

If you're looking for something fun to do with friends, a cool first date or you love artsy things, than The Future of Sports is for you.

Here is some of my fun photos from my day there!
